Bio
Urban hip hop artist mdEUCE is best known for his clever style and classic west coast sound. With his unique voice, hard hitting beats and thoughtful lyrics, mdEUCE is definitely en route to being an established and relevant force in the ‘new west’. Born and raised in Compton, Ca, mdEUCE grew up with a passion for writing. His unique vantage point of actually seeing NWA lay the foundation for gangsta rap along with his interest and concerns for the inner city, gives his music unmatched distinction amongst his musical peers. “Just being from Compton is not my ‘holy grail’ so to speak. Of course I take pride in where I’m from – we influenced the entire world w/ music – but it’s deeper than that for me. It’s about being a voice for those who go ignored and unheard. The conditions that made NWA say ‘f the police’ still exist and have actually gotten worse over the last 2 decades”, says mdEUCE. “The people in my generation understand this and they are who I ultimately make my music for.” His songwriting style is powerful, rhythmic and driven, characterized by clever lyrics that provoke thought and insight. Both dedicated and passionate towards his craft, mdEUCE has a great desire to be one of the ‘best to ever do it’. Known for his dynamic stage presence and skillful approach to capturing an audience, his live shows are both captivating and memorable. Most recently, he opened up for Young Maylay, WC and DJ Crazy Toones and has also promoted an event which featured 15 local underground acts and DJ Ji Ji Sweet. He has also recently worked with lil Eazy E for material his debut album. His most notable accomplishment to date has been his contribution to the 'Rep Yo Set' project which was released in late 2006 and featured underground artists from Crip and Blood gangs in Los Angeles. Amongst his industry peers, mdEUCE is highly respected for his talent and his outstanding work ethic. “I come from a blue collar family so working hard is something that comes natural to me”, says mdEUCE.
