LA4real presents:
RockStar Resolutions | New Years Eve 2008 at Republic
12/31/2007, Los Angeles, CA
WELCOME TO 2008!!!
I have to hand it to the guys at USA4real, The Artist Movement and LA2nite.com: the RockStar Resolutions bash at Republic was the ONLY place to ring in the new year in Los Angeles. If ya'll showed up anywhere else, you totally blew it. You should have been at Republic.
The party was a blast -- my girls and I had so much fun, and the general consensus was that it was the best NYE in recent memory (disclaimer: we each have at least one or two that we can't really remember, hee hee). Many thanks to Luke and the guys for putting together an amazing group of live bands and an all-around kickass party. We rocked out in four killer dance rooms: one with a series of (awesome) live bands, and three others with hip-hop beats, house and funk music. Plus: free drinks in VIP! Yippee!
Oh, and I chatted with Brittny Gastineau, from E!'s Gastineau Girls. For the second time this month. I think Brittny Gastineau is stalking me. She was really nice, per usual, and I felt like a huge jerk, again, for all the mean things I say about her on my blog. Sorry Brittny! Just think of it as free PR. :)
I also hung out for a bit with Sarah Welch, the gorgeous model who infamously fell through a hole on the runway at the Shadang show, and I have to tell you guys that she is an absolute sweetheart, and is able to have a great sense of humor about it, and it's way less funny and way more sad once you've met her. It's much easier to think of models as haughty bitches who deserve that sort of thing, but she was anything but. She also has the most ridiculously amazing body, and I can't even hate her for it, she was that sweet.
Also there: MELROSE! From ANTM! I was way bummed that I didn't get to chat with her. Plus: Miss California USA Meagan Tandy, Jose Canseco (I guess he plays a game called baseball -- I was far more interested in the Gastineau Girls), Page Kennedy from Weeds, Taryn Manning (you remember, she was in that brilliant Britney Spears vehicle, Crossroads), B2K, David Hasselhoff's trainwreck of a wife, Pamela Bach, and Kevin Pollak, who you've never heard of but you've seen in everything (Usual Suspects, anyone?). And a dude who looked EXACTLY like Adrian Grenier — I got all excited — but it wasn't him.
Anyway.
GREAT PARTY.
Happy New Year, everyone!
