Just Real was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio. As a product of an abusive home-life and later, a single-parent home, Just continues to vent his pain through his music. At a young age Just became interested in instrumental music, as his mother and grandparents were continuously involved in marching bands and drum corps. Just's love for hip-hop was sparked by his older sister's interest in artists like Da Brat, Bone Thugz, Will Smith, and The Notorious BIG. Just first picked up a mic in the 8th grade under the name "The Chameleon." When bystanders and onlookers began to laugh and downgrade his music, he kept rhyming. Somewhere around his junior year of high school, Just became discouraged and made one final attempt in the rap game with the release of "Sweat & Blood" the album. While he received much local recognition for the project, he was still not satisfied with himself. He gave up rhyming before he went to college. He focussed on instrumental music during this time and had much success, working with the likes of Firelands Symphony, Harlem's Apollo Theatre, Kanye West & Jamie Fox, Michael Bolton, and even the artist formerly known as Prince. In spite Just still knew he wanted more. He spoke to God about and meditated on his music, and in 2007 Just decided to leave instrumental music behind and chase his dream of becoming a major player in today's music industry. He picked the mic back up, reinvented himself, and has been tearing apart the competition ever since. Just now resides in Orlando, FL working as a local artist/producer/engineer. He is also in the process of receiving a degree in recording arts and music business. The recent loss of his mother and another close family member has fueled his fire for hip-hop even more. His music speaks to a vast audience, ranging from the lonely at heart to the madly in-love and from the spiritually lost to the politically enraged.
